Almanach No. 5

Almanach brings together a selection of texts produced through our journalistic writing mentorship programme, which supports researchers in sharing their research with a wider audience.

Following the editorial devoted to Palestinian artist Taysir Batniji, this fifth issue explores refusal as an act of vitality, both in art and in the humanities and social sciences. The contributions question war, genocide, exile, structural violence and colonial legacies, while reaffirming the need to continue thinking, writing and publishing in the face of dispossession, extermination and the normalisation of violence.
