For the Institute for Behavioral, Socio-Emotional, and Psychomotor Developmental Support, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join the strategic teaching, research, and development area Pedagogical-Therapeutic Developmental Support and Psychomotor Skills as of September 1, 2026, or by mutual agreement.
This strategic area of teaching, research, and development is dedicated to body-, movement-, and relationship-oriented developmental support, particularly in the field of psychomotor therapy. The focus is on further developing concepts that examine the interplay of motor, social-emotional, cognitive, and relational developmental processes, as well as their significance for learning, behavior, self-regulation, mental health, and social participation. The department integrates psychomotor, therapeutic, and special education perspectives, thereby strengthening the HfH’s position in a growing national and international discourse on the importance of physicality, relationships, and movement for development and education.
Your Responsibilities
- Establishment and further development of the teaching, research, and development division
- Comprehensive responsibility for the teaching, research, and development division within the four-part mission (education, continuing education, research & development, and services)
- Professional supervision of project teams and support for early-career researchers
- Dissemination through scientific publications, expert committees, conferences, and the scientific community
- Making a substantive contribution to the implementation of the HfH’s overall strategy
- Contributing your expertise to the further development of the institute, as well as in committees and working groups
- Visibly positioning the HfH in academic debates and within national and international networks
- Taking on responsibility for the further development of the institute
Your Profile
- Doctorate in Special Education, Educational Sciences, Psychology, Therapeutic Sciences, Kinesiology or Sports Science, or a related discipline
- Degree or professional certification in psychomotor therapy (EDK) Comprehensive expertise in promoting psychomotor development, body- and relationship-oriented interventions, and fostering socio-emotional development
- Proven knowledge of the Swiss education, therapy, and support systems, as well as a strong professional network
- Experience in designing and leading research and service projects
- Proven expertise in scholarly publishing and securing external funding
- High level of pedagogical competence in university teaching
- Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Interest in the evidence-based, practice-oriented, and theoretically grounded advancement of psychomotor therapy
