Open Access Policy

Nomos Verlag and the Swiss Society of Business Administration (SGB), as the journal’s publisher, have mutually agreed to transition the long-established Swiss Journal of Business to the progressive open access format starting with the 2025 volume. The entire journal will be made available via Open Access under a CC-BY license starting with Issue 1/25. The publisher will not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the publication of individual articles.

Under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license,

  • Sharing—reproducing and redistributing the material in any format or medium;
  • Adapting—remixing, modifying, and building upon the material
  • is permitted for any purpose, including commercial use.

The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as the license terms are followed:

  • Attribution — Appropriate copyright and rights notices must be provided, a link to the license must be included, and it must be indicated whether changes have been made. These notices may be provided in any reasonable manner, but not in a way that suggests the licensor specifically endorses you or your use.
  • No Additional Restrictions — No additional terms or technical measures may be applied that legally prohibit others from doing anything permitted by the license.

Authors of articles in the Swiss Journal of Business are not charged any fees (i.e., no article processing charges or submission charges).

Authors who publish in this journal retain the copyright and full publication rights without restrictions.
