Yearbook

The yearbook «Agrarwirtschaft und Agrarsoziologie – Economie et Sociologie Rurales» is available online and has been published since 1973. It is available in German and French.

Since 2014, the SGA has been publishing the Yearbook for its members and other interested parties, with the following content:

  • A picture is worth a thousand words
    The column A picture is worth a thousand words’ is written by experts working in the fields of agricultural economics and agricultural sociology. The experts are selected by the Board.
  • Specialist articles
    A specialist article is published annually in the Yearbook of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Sociology. The Executive Board approaches authors to contribute to the specialist article. In addition, authors who wish to publish an article on a topic relevant to the SGA in the Yearbook may contact the secretariat.
  • Interview
    The Yearbook of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Sociology features an annual interview with an expert from the SGA’s field of interest. The experts are selected by the Executive Board.
  • Review
    To promote the exchange and further development of knowledge in the fields of agricultural economics and agricultural sociology, institutions and organisations have the opportunity to provide an overview of relevant projects in the SGA Yearbook. The Executive Board invites the member institutions represented on the SGA Executive Board to submit contributions to the Review. In addition, authors who wish to present their projects in the Rundschau’ may contact the secretariat.
  • SGA Young Scientists Award
    The extended abstracts of the Master’s or Bachelor’s theses by the winners of the SGA Young Scientists Award are published in the Yearbook of Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Sociology.

Open Access Policy: Diamond Open Access

Following its publication, the SGA Yearbook is uploaded to E-Periodica as open access and is available via our website. This is in line with the principle that free public access to research findings supports the global exchange of knowledge.

Authors of published articles remain the copyright holders and grant third parties the right to use, reproduce and share the article in accordance with the Creative Commons licence agreement (CC-BY).
