University of Graz: Professor of Classical Archaeology

The core area of the professorship is Greco-Roman antiquity and its predecessors and neighbouring cultures in the entire Mediterranean and Central European region. The professorship is involved in the university field of excellence “Dimensions of Europe” and the faculty core topic “Trans-Mediterranean Entanglements. Mobilities and Relations in the Mediterranean and beyond”. In teaching, the professorship supervises a relevant BA, MA and PhD study programme and complements the Ancient History, Classical Philology and Art History courses on a modular basis. It is also involved in the doctoral programme “Ancient Cultures of the Mediterranean” and assumes academic responsibility for the Archaeological Collections of the University of Graz. We also expect gender mainstreaming skills.

 

 

40 hours per week; selection procedure in accordance with Section 98 of the Universities Act (UG); permanent employment according to the Salaried Employees Act (AngG); expected starting date March 1st 2025
