As part of the Excellence in Africa initiative jointly implemented by EPFL and UM6P, the EXAF centre is launching the second call for proposals of the Junior Faculty Development programme : You are an early-stage professor working in Africa, and you wish to lead an outstanding research project? This call is for you!
The Junior Faculty Development Programme is one of the first programmes launched as part of the “Excellence in Africa” initiative. It aims to support and help improve the skills of junior faculty members in Africa. The project pairs early-stage professors in Africa with EPFL professors to create research partnerships over a period of four to five years. This will provide funding for jointly-designed projects. The Africa-based professors will spend a year working in the laboratory of their colleague at EPFL.
