The Basler Afrika Bibliographien (BAB) invites students, researchers, and cultural practitioners working in and on Namibia to join us for the 11th Namibia Research Day, held at the Basler Afrika Bibliographien in Basel, Switzerland.
This annual event brings together graduate students, early-career researchers, scholars as well as cultural workers from diverse disciplines and practices to share their work, engage in dialogue, and connect across fields and institutions. It is a unique opportunity to present ongoing or recently completed research and projects in an open, social and interdisciplinary environment.
More than just a series of presentations, the Namibia Research Day is conceived as a vibrant social gathering. The BAB places strong emphasis on informal exchange, personal encounters, and network building. The programme includes ample time for discussion, joint apéros, and lively conversations around the presented projects.
The Research Day will take place from October 17-18, 2025.
To participate, please send a short abstract or project summary (max. half a page). Submission deadline is 31. August 2025.
