SUMMARY:Young Scholars' Forum
DESCRIPTION:Will you be joining the SGAS/SSEA & VAD Conference in Basel as 
 a young scholar? We are pleased to invite you to the Young Scholars’ Forum,
  a pre-conference event taking place on 25 August 2026, 13:00–17:00 at the 
 University of Basel. \n\nOrganised in connection with the main conference e
 vent, “African Perspectives on Global Transformations,” this gathering is d
 esigned specifically for PhD candidates and early-career researchers to con
 nect, reflect, and engage in a collaborative and supportive environment. Un
 der the theme “Creative Encounters: Rethinking Research in Global Spheres,”
  the program invites participants to explore how creative approaches can en
 rich research and knowledge production. Activities will include hands-on cr
 eative exercises such as storytelling, painting, mapping, and collage. \n\n
 The program will conclude with a guest lecture by Dr. Henri Michel Yéré, fo
 llowed by an apéro/dinner. We are particularly mindful of accessibility and
  aim to support participation across different contexts.\n\nPlease register
