University of Geneva

The Days of Swiss Linguistics Conference (DSL) takes places every two years and it is organized by one of the Swiss universities on behalf of the Swiss Linguistics Society. In 2016, the 9th edition of this conference will be held at University of Geneva from 29 June to 1 July 2016. The DSL is an international conference welcoming senior and junior researchers from Europe and beyond.
The theme of this year's conference is:
Diversity of structures and meanings in natural language: empirical,
experimental and theoretical approaches

For this 9th edition of DSL, we have the pleasure to have six keynote speakers, who will cover different aspects of the conference topic, including morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics, as well as experimental and empirical approaches.

  • David Beaver (University of Texas, Austin, USA)
  • Alda Mari (Institut Jean Nicod, CNRS, Paris, France)
  • Stephen Anderson (Yale University, USA)
  • Nausicaa Pouscoulous (University College London, UK)
  • Liesbeth Degand (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium)
  • Luigi Rizzi (University of Geneva, Swizerland)

The call for papers opened the submission of abstracts for oral presentations for the three parallel sessions and the poster session. The deadline for abstract submission is 30 October 2015. We are looking forward to receiving your contributions!
